I am looking for a countrywide data of which schools/school districts are denoted as "High Needs".
High Needs schools are defined as:
“within the top quartile of elementary and secondary schools statewide, as ranked by the number of unfilled, available teacher positions; or is located in an area where at least 30 percent of students come from families with incomes below the poverty line; or an area with a high percentage of out-of-field-teachers, high teacher turnover rate, or a high percentage of teachers who are not certified or licensed.”
Every state keeps its tabs on their schools separately and every state's website is unique and has different layouts and different places where they may have a database of how schools perform on these metrics. There seems to be no dataset that puts the data from all the states together in one place. Does anyone know of a dataset that puts this all together?
